This position is in Salary Grade 213, with a minimum salary of $17.59 per hour. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the salary grade range. This position is eligible for full-time fringe benefits package.
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources while also serving as the front-line HR Specialist for the office. This position will be responsible for maintaining files; arranging meetings and appointments; preparing correspondence; distributing incoming/outgoing mail; greeting and directing internal and external customers/students; providing accurate/general HR assistance/guidance, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, assisting with HR Department special projects, and other work as assigned.
Associate’s Degree required; preferably in a program related to office technology or administrative assistant field.
Three years of experience in office management or administrative assistant services required. Prior Human Resources experience preferred.
Requires strong customer service and teamwork skills; strong organization and time management skills; accuracy and proofreading skills; and attention to detail. Requires ability to display initiative and meet deadlines; exceptional communication skills; and proficiency in developing correspondence, agendas, minutes, including correct grammar and form. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, as well as ability to learn other computer programs as required.
