Salary and Benefits

This position is in Salary Grade 210, with a minimum starting wage of $15.20 per hour. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range. The candidate will work 28 hours per week.

General Description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the College payroll system generates accurate and timely payment to all college employees, as well as to comply with federal and state laws and regulations as they relate to payroll functions, and to meet the associated reporting requirements.

This is accomplished by auditing and updating information in the payroll system, approving payment documents through employee self-service; generating employee payment; calculating the necessary tax, benefit and deduction payments; calculating and submitting appropriate reporting requirements; following guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act; understanding taxation requirements for international employees, state tax requirements for remote employees, as well as any other federal and state laws and regulations related to payroll functions; following College policies and procedures; providing assistance to employees; working effectively with other College Departments; and maintaining files processed by Payroll Services.

Qualifications: Education

Associates Degree in accounting, business or a related field is a requirement of this position.


Minimum of 1 year and up to 3 years of experience required.
