Teaching assignments will be in courses related to architectural and structural drafting concentrations. Successful candidates that are asked to interview will be expected present a 15-20 minute teaching demonstration on a drafting related skill or learning outcome. General Description

Northeast Community College located in Norfolk, Nebraska and an Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence 2017 Top 10 School is seeking a talented individual with a passion for drafting and teaching.
The purpose of this position is to instruct classes and labs as assigned by the Dean and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College.

Qualifications: Education

Bachelors degree in related area required. Associate of Applied Science degree in Drafting and five years of related work experience is acceptable.

Qualification:Experience

Experience using AutoCAD and related software as an instructor/trainer or as a drafting technician is required.
Teaching/training others and construction experience preferred.

Qualification:Skills

Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit with a high comfort level for learning and working with new software and technology.
Must be proficient with reading and comprehending construction documents, and be familiar with a wide variety of construction materials.
