Salary and Benefits

This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position in Salary Grade 206, with a minimum start wage of $13.12 per hour. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the salary grade range.

General Description

Northeast Community College, a Top 10 Nationally Ranked Community College located in Norfolk, Nebraska is seeking a talented individual to fulfill the role of Business Services Assistant I.

This is a part-time position. The purpose of this position is to perform duties of the College communications department. This is accomplished by operating the College switchboard, operating the College paging and emergency communications systems, preparing documents for imaging or destruction, maintaining a calendar of campus events, assisting with processing mail and photocopy/print services, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree is preferred.

Qualification:Experience

Requires up to one year of experience in a related field.

Qualification:Skills

Requires strong communication skills to work successfully with the public and co-workers while providing quality customer service. Must have the ability to use a telephone system, and must be skilled in Microsoft Office. Requires proficient use of spelling, punctuation, grammar, proofreading and math skills, and ability to learn other computer applications and print equipment. Must be able to conform to deadlines. Requires independent judgment.
