Salary and Benefits

This position is in Salary Grade 211, with a minimum starting wage of $16.27 per hour. The successful candidate’s wage will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
This position is eligible for Northeast Community College’s excellent full-time fringe benefits package.

General Description

Northeast Community College, a Top 10 Nationally Ranked Community College located in Norfolk, Nebraska is seeking a talented individual to fulfill the role of Development Specialist.
The purpose of this position is to maintain the integrity of donor information and gift giving; acknowledge donor gifts and track gift pledges under supervision of the Director. Manage the scholarship process and administration of agreements. Prepare gift reports and other fund management reports, conduct prospect research, draft proposals and assist with development projects as assigned.

Qualifications: Education

Associate’s degree required in business, finance, accounting, communications or related field is required.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.


Three years or more experience in a business office or related field


Experience in database administration and/or report writing preferred, with strong analytical skills. Computer skills required, knowledge of Microsoft Excel required; Banner Advancement and Salesforce experience preferred.
