Salary and Benefits

This position is in Salary Grade 206, with a minimum starting wage of $13.12 per hour. The successful candidate’s starting wage will be calculated based on education and experience within the compensation grade range. This is a grant-funded position contingent on future funding and is not eligible for fringe benefits.

General Description

The purpose of this position is to assist the Director. This is accomplished by processing payroll for Adult Education employees, tracking budget expenses and notifying the Director of the status of such expenses, ordering supplies and books for instructors, completing volunteer reports monthly, working with instructors to schedule students for classes and testing, and coordinating recognition night for students. Other duties include answering the telephone and answering questions of perspective students, processing mail, incoming and any outgoing letters to staff.

Qualifications: Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.


Requires at least 1 year of related experience.


Requires strong telephone, computer, organizational and communication skills and ability to work successfully with the public, provide courteous customer service, and conform to deadlines.
