Salary and Benefits

This position is in Salary Grade 203, with a minimum starting salary of $11.67 per hour. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.

General Description

Assists the Agriculture department with the implementation of the Ag-ceptional Women’s conference. The administrative assistant organizes and coordinates every aspect of the conferences from planning to implementation as well as follow-up activities. This is accomplished by working closely with the Dean and Associate Dean to make decisions regarding the overall plan for the conference, the contracting of speakers, sponsorship drive, marketing and registration; coordinating Ag-ceptional Committee meetings and activities to plan the conference; creating, updating and revising conference documents and marketing materials; and working with internal (business, marketing, web, shipping, etc.) and external (sponsors, vendors, presenters, etc.) constituents to plan/organize and execute every aspect of the conference.

Work hours are an average of 20 hours per week.

Qualifications: Education

High School diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.

Experience with word processing and other software such as Microsoft office Suite and Adobe In-Design

Ability to organize documents and information, strong communication skills- both oral and written, multi-tasking, critical thinking skills, effective teamwork and collaboration skills
