Salary is based on the faculty salary schedule. The position will include a contract extension of 50 days calculated at the daily rate. This position is eligible for full-time fringe benefits.

General Description

Northeast Community College, a Top 10 Nationally Ranked Community College located in Norfolk, Nebraska is seeking a talented individual to fulfill the role of Utility Line Instructor – Off Campus in Western Nebraska.
The successful candidate will instruct job training and safety class sessions as required, and assist in the development of training activities for the Nebraska Rural Electric Association, Nebraska Municipalities, and other participating electrical utility organizations as assigned by the Dean and JT&S coordinator. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College. This position will primarily maintain training responsibility for electrical utility organizations within Region III, consisting of the western third of the State of Nebraska including Cherry County south to Red Willow County and west to the Nebraska border. This position will also be responsible for conducting training at sites in Eastern Wyoming. The trainer must reside within or near the Region III training area.

Qualifications: Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Associate degree in the field and five years of work experience required.


Requires extensive background in electrical safety and regulatory issues as it relates to high voltage rural electric work practices. Ability to develop and use effective organization and work procedures. Experience in education/training is desired.


High Voltage Utility Worker background required.
